E-Verify: Check work status with Homeland Security

E-Verify is an online system that compares information from an employee's I-9 form with the Social Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security.

E-Verify is required for federal contractors beginning May 2009. It is voluntary for everyone else.

Note: Many SBA loan programs require that borrowers certify that they only hire work-eligible employees.
